On Thursday I got a call from some of my sweet friends telling me that their first born, a son, had been born.  I got to go to the hospital and do his "welcome to the world" pictures!  

Baby James was a sweetheart!  He slept through 99% of our shoot and only opened his little eyes for me once!  Being a model is VERY hard work, you know!  

His precious parents were so proud of him and I just loved watching them with him.  They are very experienced due to spending so much time with their nephew and neice and I knew they would have no issues with being new parents.  Bert was so sweet with James.  He just kept kissing him over and over, as if he had a quota to meet.  And Hannah, the loving way she looked at him reminded me so much of how awestruck I was when I first held Maddie and Bennett.  It was such a sweet moment!  You could tell that they were both over the moon with this little guy!  

Congratulations, Bert and Hannah!  I am so happy for you both!  James sure is blessed to have such a sweet and adoring family!

Here are Sarah and Jim.  They were married in the backyard at the beautiful Ryan Nicholas Inn on Saturday evening, May 24th.  They are such a sweet couple and you could tell how happy they were all day.  Jim even surprised Sarah with a gorgeous necklace from Tiffany & Company, very impressive!!!  Congrats guys, I am so very happy for you.  Thanks for letting me be a part of your wedding! I hope you have a great time on your honeymoon!

On Friday night, I photographed Will Fitzgerald and Lauren Bateman's wedding.  This precious couple met in high school and have been together ever since!  They were very sweet together and you could tell that they were very comfortable with each other.  Don't they make such a cute couple!?!?  Both families attend Taylors First Baptist, so it was fun to see so many familiar people at their wedding.  

I bet it was so much fun for these four to grow up together!

I LOVE this shadow shot!  I can't always do this shot, so when I can, I do!  Isn't it great!?!?!?

This is my FAVORITE shot of the day.  I love how sweet they look with the sky and the flowers, all of it just screams ROMANCE!!!

In honor of my new blog, I am going to have my very first contest!!!

The contest will be called "I hate my wedding pictures!!!"

This contest is for anyone who has terrible wedding pictures.  I meet so many people who tell me horror stories about how "Uncle Bob" did their wedding photos and they turned out terrible!  

I know how expensive weddings can be, but good pictures are not the place to try to save a little money!  Your pictures are the one memory that stays with you for the rest of your life!  Kyle and I paid for our wedding, but we didn't skimp on our wedding pictures.

All you have to do is email me your "story" with 1-5 photos from your wedding.  I will post the top 3 and then EVERYONE will get to vote on the winner.

The winner will get a photo shoot with me as well as a cool coffee table album of the shoot!  

Rules:

You must be married. (It doesn't matter how long!)

You do NOT have to wear you wedding gown.  Any attire is acceptable!  (I couldn't fit into my wedding gown now, if my life depended on it!)

You must be willing to share your story with us.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of photographing Katie (Tillotson) and Jason Hill's wedding.  First off, it was a BEAUTIFUL day with perfect weather.  Katie looked stunning in her wedding gown and Jason was quite handsome in his tux.  Together, they make a gorgeous couple!  It was very obvious how in love they are with each other and I loved watching them exchange glances all day.  New love is so sweet!
