MATTHEW KENNETH GAYLORD
Friday, February 27, 2009 | more in: kiddos

Once upon a time, there was a lady named Tracy. Tracy was a wonderful person.  She loved everyone, especially kids, and everyone loved her.  She had 3 stepkids, whom she adored, but wanted a baby.  So badly.  She became pregnant, but lost their baby girl at 23 weeks.  This was very hard for her, as well as her sweet family.  However, God still had a plan for them, and his name was Matthew.  In January, Toni and Tracy, adopted Matthew into their home and hearts.  He is a very special little boy with gorgeous blue eyes and a smile that will melt your heart.  The love that his new family has for him was so obvious that I broke down and cried a few times while I was there.  I felt like I was seeing a miracle from God in person.

Congratulations, Toni, Tracy, Drew, Abby and Gracie.  I am so happy for all of you.  And welcome to the world, sweet boy.  You were so loved, even before you were born. I can't wait to see what God has planned for your life!

Looking up at his Mommy.....

The signs that the kids made for Matthew.

I love this angle.  This is how most mommy's see their babies most, looking down on them while holding or feeding them.  This is what I remember most from Maddie and Bennett being babies.  I love that sweet look of complete trust, like he knows that he is safe.

And my favorite.  Just look at those eyes!  So sweet!

(This session was a gift to the Gaylord family from Natalie and Jonathan Clayton)

WPPI IN LAS VEGAS
Tuesday, February 24, 2009 | more in: main

Last week, I went to Las Vegas, for the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) convention.  Needless to say, I had a blast.  This was my first photography convention and I felt like a kid in a candy store.  Everywhere I looked, there were things that were specifically for my business.  It was so much fun!  I didn't break the bank buying a whole lot of things, but I did find some things that should make my business more profitable and managable.

My favorite part of the week was meeting new people.  It was so great listening to other photographers talk about how they do things as well as just meeting other people like me.

I went to Vegas with my sweet friend Lisa, who took the pictures of me in the slideshow.  She is an awesome photographer, so check her stuff out.  Thanks, Lisa, for coming with me. I had a blast with you!

Belive it or not, I lugged my camera around all week and didn't take a single picture until the last day!  Hopefully, I made up for it with these images.

Thanks for taking the time to follow my blog.  I appreciate my clients and friends more than anything!

Enjoy!

Speaking at the Image Quix booth.

We had to walk a thousand miles to get to the convention center.  They had these great signs so I just had to take pictures of them.

New York, New York

Freemont Street, old Vegas.  They have this ceiling that they do music/light shows on.  Very cool!

The Stratosphere on the strip.

WYATT MCCAULEY

Meet Wyatt!  Isn't he adorable?!?!?!  Such a sweet little boy.  He is the first born son of Jason and Amanda.  And you should see them interact with him.  It was amazing!  They were just natural parents.  You could tell that they spend so much time with him, talking to him, reading to him, just watching him.  I could tell from the moment I arrived at their house that they were completely smitten with this little man!  And how could you resist eyes like these?

So sweet!!!!

Thank you for asking me to photograph your sweet boy!  I can't wait to see him in Josh and Jamie's wedding!

Meet Asher.  He is the newest edition to the Way family.  He joins big brothers, Oliver and Beckett.  The Way's are one of my favorite families.  They are so sweet and genuine.  It just makes you happy being friends with them!  Kylie and I were pregnant together with both of our other kids, so we have a ton in common!

Thank you for asking me to photograph sweet Asher!  I'm ready and willing to babysit whenever you need me!

Monday, February 23, 2009 | more in: main

Meet the Raynor family.  Diane is one of our sweet nurses at our Pediatricians office.  So when she called and asked for some updated family photos, I was thrilled to get to meet her family and take their pictures.  The boys did great and we all had a fun time.

Thank you for asking me to photograph your sweet family!
